Job Summary: Accounts for and processes daily client entries to ensure all accounting transactions are recorded in the system effectively and correctly.

Essential Functions:

Request or download bank statements and perform bank reconciliation.
Pre-define deposits and payments, import and/or reclassify transactions made by customers.
Requests and maintains all necessary information for preparing tax returns (informative 480s).
Summarizes and categorizes credit card payments.
Prepares and maintains depreciation and amortization tables: Property Ledger / Prepaid expenses / Loan amortization
Request from clients the information necessary for the preparation of financial statements.
Create new fiscal periods annually
Record supplier invoices for those customers with the contracted service
Processes withholding payments and filing of quarterly payroll for professional services.
Analyze, reconcile, and file municipal and state IVU tax payments and import forms.
Generate all types of reports as required
Documents every service requested by the client through the task manager tool and ensures that it is completed.
In cases where a courier service is contracted, prepare the information/packages for shipment on a weekly basis and organize the information received for processing.
Any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting
1 to 3 years of experience in accounting
Mastery of the accounting cycle (accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, etc.)
Mastery of programs such as Microsoft Office, Peachtree and/or Quickbooks
Availability to work outside of regular business hours and travel throughout the island
Organized and ability to work on time
Ability to work with minimal supervision

Environmental Conditions:

I work inside the building, with normal temperatures, air conditioning, good lighting, clean areas, and minimal risks.
Physical Demands:

Light work requiring minimal physical effort. It requires communication skills, coordination, and visual acuity.
Mental Components:

Ability to be alert, abstract, analyze, calculate, catalog, classify, compare, coordinate, detect, edit, estimate, evaluate, interview, influence, inspect, among others.
